International Sports Travel Agencies Association (ISTAA)

ISTAA was created in June 2009 as a partnership of Sports Travel Agencies worldwide. ISTAA members meet once a year and hold an Annual General Meeting in conjunction with an annual conference at the location of one of the members. The conference is the largest annual reunion of members: sports travel bureaus, organizations, event management firms, and other industry professionals. The program for delegates includes Sports Travel Agencies Exchange Workshops and presentations of sports events representatives.
 

It is an association where each travel agency is locally owned and managed in several countries  like: Albania, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Finland, France, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Paraguay, Poland, Romania, Republic San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, USA.
 
Each member of ISTAA association receives a certificate confirming the membership. During the conference in October 2009 in Warsaw participants agreed for the basic criteria of selecting the right sports travel partners. The company partners specialization shall be sports  travel,  it shall be IATA accredited agent or have proper local travel  license from own country, should be dynamic, financially sound and of solid reputation and recommended by  minimum one ISTAA member. The travel agency should be beneficial of contract with federation or sport clubs or Olympic Committee. ISTAA is registered as an association in Zurich, Switzerland reg.nbr: CH-036.6.056.057-3.
